The ETL Listed Mark for North America An electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical product bearing the North American ETL Listed mark signifies that it was tested and meets the minimum requirements of prescribed product safety standards. Moreover, the mark indicates that the manufacturer's production site conforms to a range of compliance measures and is subject to periodic follow-up inspections to verify continued conformance. A product bearing the ETL Listed mark with the "us" identifier at the 4 o'clock position has been tested and deemed compliant to U.S. product safety standards only. An ETL Listed mark with a "c" identifier at the 8 o'clock position means the product bearing it complies with Canadian product safety standards only. And an ETL Listed mark with both "us" and "c" identifiers at the 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock positions respectively, signifies that the product bearing the mark complies with both U.S. and Canadian product safety standards.

The ETL Sanitation Mark for North America An electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical product bearing the ETL Sanitation mark signifies that it was tested and complies with the minimum requirements of prescribed U.S. product sanitation standards. In addition, the mark indicates that the manufacturer's production site conforms to a range of compliance measures and is subject to a periodic regimen of follow-up inspections to verify continued conformance. An ETL Sanitation mark indicates that equipment is fit for use in the production of food intended for human consumption or the equipment is fit for use in an environment where food intended for human consumption is produced.

The Intertek Safety 'S' Mark for Europe An electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical product bearing the S mark signifies that it was tested and meets the minimum requirements of prescribed and harmonized European Union product safety standards.

The Intertek GS Mark An electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical product bearing the GS mark indicates that it was tested and complies with the minimum requirements of the German Device Safety Act (a.k.a., GSG). The GS mark is a licensed mark of the German government, which may only be issued by an accredited product safety testing and certification agency.

The 'Tick & Crown' Mark As a UKAS accredited Certification Body Intertek ETL SEMKO is entitled to incorporate the 'Royal Crown' symbol into its Certification Mark, which signifies UK government recognition. The scope of this Intertek ETL SEMKO Certification Mark includes Explosive Atmospheres, Machinery and Low Voltage safety standards. Holders of Intertek ETL SEMKO UK Certificates of Conformity that have good control over the quality of their manufacturing facilities are authorised to use the Mark on their products.

The EMC Mark EMC Verification: An electrical or electro-mechanical product bearing the worldwide EMC Verification mark issued by Intertek or its parent company signifies that it was tested and meets the minimum requirements of prescribed electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards. In addition to the "Intertek" identifier, the mark will specify which countries' EMC standards the intended product complies with. What's more, the mark indicates that the manufacturer's production site was audited and conforms to a range of compliance measures.

The NEBS Mark for Telecomms Telecommunications equipment bearing Intertek ETL SEMKO's NEBS Certification mark indicates that the product was independently tested and complies to standards applicable to products intended for use in, or remotely connected to a Regional Bell Operating Company's (RBOC) network/central office equipment. Each NEBS Certification mark issued by ETL SEMKO will carry an annotation of its host product's compliance to Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 of the prescribed NEBS product safety and performance standards.
